- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I have to agree with you on that Bryan. They make me furious, they act like they aren't supposed to do anything or that nothing is required of them. They tell you to deal with your issues via your carrier by leaving them notes. Most pathetic, helpless, sad, post office I have ever seen. I had my package stolen from me because the carrier dropped it at my door and didn't bother to knock and alert me. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I have never witnessed more incompetence in my life. These people do not even know their own rules and regulations. I must say this is quite typical when you are dealing with the federal government. The people Four Oaks have probably been getting the shaft for years. They have been forced into purchasing a post office box because the post office does not deliver inside the town limits (as we were informed). We found this out after purchasing a home in town in 2015. After a great deal of struggling and arguing with the Postmaster, we were were given a post office box at no charge. This is known as a "Group E free PO Box" and information about these free boxes can be found online in the USPS Domestic Mail Manual. Again, we were told we had to get a PO Box because there is no in town mail delivery in Four Oaks. Upon investigating this further and pressuring the Postmaster with this information we were given a free PO Box. What all of this boils down to is the USPS is fraudulently collecting PO Box fees in the town limits of Four Oaks where there is no home delivery.By Michael Morris, June 12, 2017

There are lots of things that they have no control over like the hours that they are open or lost packages. I am in the post office daily and love the small town vibe and friendly smiling faces.
